+ Dr. Joseph G. Mattera

Dr. Joseph Mattera has been in full time ministry since 1980 and is currently the Senior Pastor of Resurrection Church in Brooklyn, New York.

Known as “a Pastor’s Pastor,” Dr. Mattera earned his Doctorate of Divinity from the Christian Leadership Seminary and serves as a consultant and mentor to many leaders in the Body of Christ. He helps facilitate a prayer movement in the New York Metropolitan area and oversees Pastor’s prayer meetings and other numerous citywide initiatives. On December 1999 and many months after that he hosted a Citywide Christian radio show entitled “Light Your City.” This broadcast presented practical prayer strategies that the Body of Christ is still using today to transform our City block by block! Dr. Mattera also regularly contributes articles that are featured in a tri-state NY area newspaper.

Dr. Mattera’s desire to build and strengthen the church, and support the vision of the local pastors, has led him to coordinate community and evangelistic events that have impacted the city and blessed the Body of Christ. Additionally, he has ministered in the former Soviet Union, Dominican Republic, Turkey and Puerto Rico.

In November, 1999 he started City Covenant Coalition, an apostolic network of five-fold ministers. They have come together to holistically effect inner cities world wide.

Dr. Mattera, his wife, Joyce and their five children live in Brooklyn, New York.

+ Jeff Beacham

Jeff Beacham is the founder and director of FIREPOWER MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL (FMI), an evangelistic association founded in 1989. FMI is committed to seeing spiritual transformation come to the nations through media ministries, evangelistic crusades and leadership conferences, focusing on imparting a greater passion for Christ and soul-winning into the Church, and to see leaders encouraged and developed.

FMI has been responsible for hosting various events and crusades including the “CATCH THE FIRE DOWN UNDER” and “CITY OF FIRE” Conferences. Rev. Beacham was also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CONFERENCE in Sydney in 1991. Rev. Beacham recently served on the steering committees for the “AWAKE AMERICA” crusade and the UNITED IN PRAYER GATHERING in the NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY area with the leadership team from the PENSACOLA REVIVAL.

As well as conducting an itinerant ministry, Rev. Beacham is the chairman of the Regional Leadership Council for THE CITY COVENANT COALITION, a network of key ministries in NEW YORK CITY, and also serves a member of the executive council for FAITH ALLIANCE, a statewide network of ministries in New Jersey. Rev. Beacham also serves on the leadership team of The Church Of Grace and Peace, Toms River NJ (the USA base for FMI) as the overseer of Missions, Church Planting and Evangelism.

In 1999, Rev. Beacham and his family relocated to New Jersey in obedience to God’s call, having been sent out from THE HILLSONG CHURCH as missionary pastor/evangelists to America. Rev. Beacham and his wife Heather and have 5 children.

Rev. Beacham says this about CCC:

I met Dr. Joseph Mattera soon after we arrived here in the Northeast in 1999. We immediately recognized each others ministries and God's hand in having us work together for the greater good of the church in this area. Since that time we have become close friends and have worked together with City Covenant Coalition since its inception nearly three years ago. I am the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council for CCC and have the privilege and pleasure of working with some other outstanding leaders from the Greater New York Area.

I believe that, working together with other leaders and networks, CCC can be a powerful instrument to bring about edification and unity in the Body of Christ. Is also our desire for CCC to work tirelessly for spiritual reformation and cultural change in the community. As our purpose statement declares, City Covenant Coalition is a Coalition where "ascension gift" ministers and ministries come together in covenant to impact cities and reach the nations with the "Gospel of the Kingdom of God."
