+ Defense of Marriage Pulpit Announcement Guidelines

We ask all clergy interested in participating in the “Defense of Marriage” Press Conference to do the following:

1. Read and be in agreement with our written statement, stated goals, guidelines and purpose for the event.
   
   
2. Please encourage congregants and clergy in your sphere of influence to support this event.
   
   
3. Let your elected officials know about the event.
   
   
4. Make copies of our flyer and hand out to your congregation.
   
   
5. Forward our email ads to your colleagues and congregants.
   
   
6. Start speaking about the event and encourage congregants to attend from your pulpit at least three weeks ahead of time.
   
   
7. Please lead the congregation in prayer for this event and most importantly, for a spiritual awakening and reformation in the Greater NY region and our nation.
   
   
8. If possible, tell your congregation that you personally plan on attending the event.
